Charles Tony Hightower
As a seasoned percussionist, songwriter, recording artist, vocalist and producer, Tony has worked with several different artists on various projects. He has played drums for Jomani Productions (Atlanta, Ga) of “Queen of the Blues – the Life Story of Diana Washington” and session work for Organized Noize Production artists Goodie Mob, Outkast, Peebles and Xscape.
A former at North Atlanta School for the Creative and Performing Arts, Tony’s vocals, arranging and producing talents are demonstrated on his group’s – 4.0’s self titled album, and projects headed by Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Lionel Richie, and the late Gerald Levert.
Tony Hightower is a voting member and former Vice President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Board of Governors of N.A.R.A.S. – the sponsor of the Grammy Awards, and is an artistic contributor to the fundraising song “Together We Can” for the victims of the Columbine shooting.
